Well January is already half way over, and so far I am on a roll of not posting anything. It's not all my fault though. I thought that as we entered 2012 life would calm down a bit and give us some time to catch our breath... boy was I wrong!

Josh's superiors decided to send him on a brief deployment to receive his promotion. Once this was officially planned Austin and I decided to drive back up to Ohio to spend this otherwise alone time, with family.

Right before we began out trip up north we decided to buy a house. (This was not a last minute decision, just one that we made quicker than we planned).

Now I am in the works of planning our trip back to GA so that we can spend some time with Josh, close on the house and make some more house related decisions.

After that we, Austin and I, will head back to Ohio while Josh is in Ranger School.

As you can see life is by NO means settling down.

Maybe come summer?... we hope so : )

Happy New Year!

With the holiday season behind us and the new year at our fingertips, its time to get back to work. I am not complaining though. While I have loved and cherished every second of the past few months with my family, and I am always sad when the Christmas decorations come down, I am ready for my first clients of 2012!

So all my beloved Buckeyes, listen up:

Jaclyn Davis Photography will be temporarily be relocating until summer 2012! Most of you know the hubs is in the military and he will be "out of town" for quite some time. While he is away training Austin and I are traveling north again to spend the next couple months enjoying time with family and friends back home.

Have no fear Columbus, JDP will be back again before you know it. We will be back before June and the time will surely fly by so shoot me an email or a phone call to reserve your summer and fall sessions now. Beat the peak season rush!!

Pumpkin Patch!

Over the weekend he headed out to Pine Mountain, GA to visit the Butts Mill Farm pumpkin patch with the Sawtelle family! We have so much fun them, Eddie & Kyle are a blast and Peyton is just too cute for words. Peyton loved going down the slides more than anything and Austin, well, he was indifferent to the whole situation. He did like the goat in the petting zoo though : ) There was a lot to do on the farm but I have to be honest and say that pumpkin patch was pretty lame. The photos of the kids by the pumpkins? Yeah, that was the only pumpkin "patch" on the entire farm. We all though it was just a nicely decorated entrance area to the farm.

 

A little sanity PLEASE

On days like today when Austin is all over the place, into everything and making messes EVERYWHERE I find that an escape to the bathroom sets me right.... not to use it, but to read one of my most cherished wedding gifts. This ABC'S OF LIFE sign that proudly hangs on the wall. It brings me back to reality, God and what really matters.

Thought I would share some of my favorites from today with everyone. Austin is particularly chatty today and he said he wanted to show everyone some of his favorite things to do and play with. SO here you are: reading, biting the noses on his stuffed animals (a new hobby that I think he inherited from his Auntie who used to squeeze them) and playing with Mommy's lens cap. He brings me so much joy and a smile to face everyday... hope these images do the same for you : )

The Little Man Is 1!!

Well, it finally happened. My baby turned 1! His birthday was full of emotion for me as I reflected back to his first days with us in the NICU. At the time we thought it would take forever to just get him home and then look at us now, chasing him around the house as he crawls and climbs on everything. I can't believe how fast this year has gone and how amazing every single day has been. For his birthday we were able to celebrate in Ohio with Grandparents and Great-Grandparents since we were there for his aunt Allison's wedding. Busy weekend!

Last weekend I traveled north, back to Ohio. A LOT was crammed into one weekend but it was a ton of fun and a great chance to catch up with a lot of family. First on the agenda was my God Daughters, Stella, Baptism followed by a family reunion and then my aunts 50th birthday party... did I mention these were all in one day? Anyways, some of my photos from the entire weekend were captured at the family reunion. The little munchkins in the photos are my cousins adorable little ones : )
